The Change For Children event was held here in Puerto Galera at Scuba For Change and the Stairway foundation.

The week long program included 20 of the Stairway boys and some local scholars from Puerto Galera, participating in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program over 2 of the days.

Of these 20 we have selected and invited 5 of the foundation boys to complete the PADI Open Water course.

It was an amazing couple of days to get the chance to offer the experience many of us take for granted to children who would never normally get this opportunity.

A big thank you to PADI Asia Pacific for their help, to Julia Wheeler and Lucas Handley for documenting the entire event and also to Greg and Elise Foot-Lightfoot of Surf Rescue Victoria for the training they provided and Terry Ashenden for kindly donating our brand new AED, rescue floats and rescue board!
