The PADI weight loss program
Want to shed kilos in a few hours?
Sounds to good to be true no? Well, it is possible with the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy adventure dive or speciality course!
As divers we are taught a fairly inaccurate formula to calculate weight requirements but this formula has a couple of gaping holes in it.
Most importantly your weight. Someone who weighs 100 kilos could be be tall, short, fat, thin or full of muscle.
This would mean that the calculation can and normally is, completely incorrect.
What the PADI PPB course or adventure dive will teach you is how to really control your buoyancy with your very own built in BCD, your lungs.
As some of our recent PADI Advanced course students will testify, it is possible to dive with a lot less lead than you may think or are used too, if you learn the best ways to breath underwater.
Of course some people do prefer to dive with a little extra just in case but that is no reason to overload yourself to the point of diving with a half inflated BCD and using huge amounts more air than everyone else.
So, if you’re feeling a bit bloated, get back into some training and lose those kilos today!
